5 Minutes Microwave Maple Peanut Butter Chocolate
By Lucia Birkenkrahe
If you want to avoid all the hopped up sugars but you like your sweets every day, this is a super easy way to make your own - dare I say healthy - chocolate. Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste as healthy as it is. I make a batch of this every day and just snack on it throughout the day.
INGREDIENTS
1 Tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa Powder
2 Tablespoons coconut shavings
2 Tablespoons Chunky Peanut Butter
2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
2 Tablespoons pecans /almonds/pumpkin seeds (Any nuts will do)
1⁄2 Tablespoon Protein Powder (optional)
2 Teaspoons Maple syrup
DIRECTIONS
1. Get out two small bowls. Use the first bowl (bowl-1) for the coconut oil, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and maple syrup. Use the second bowl (bowl-2) for the coconut shavings, nuts and protein powder.
2. Heat up bowl-1 in the microwave for 20-30 Seconds, stir and heat it up for 20 more seconds. Stir a third time. then heat up in microwave for another 20-30 seconds or until fully melted.
3. Add the contents of bowl-2 to bowl-1, stir until blended.
4. Freeze Chocolate for 30-40 Minutes, after that keep in fridge.
Notes
- Serving size: equivalent to about 1 bar of store bought chocolate
- For an even fresher taste you can add chopped up and dried fruits (cranberries/apricots etc.)
- If you do not have a microwave, you easily melt this mixture in a pan instead.
