Cash Your Inheritance

Have we been claimed as God’s inheritance, or have we received an inheritance from God? The answer is both. The word inheritance is used in Ephesians 1:11 reflecting both of God’s portion to his people and of an everlasting portion which he has reserved for them later on Ephesians 1:18.

The good news? A great part of our inheritance in Jesus Christ can be obtained right now. What an incredible gift to have a check with our name on it just waiting to be cashed, no strings attached and no further work required…to me it sounds like the best gift ever!

When we first come to Christ by faith, we begin to enter into our inheritance. Little by little we begin to change and discover the many gifts available to us; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control these are available to us anytime through the Holy Spirit.

The sum total of our inheritance will be of all God has promised us at salvation which is being reserved for us in heaven, and we are being preserved until the time when it will be given to us.

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. (Ephesians 1:11-14 ESV)

This notion of being rich on earth is not of a false mysticism, actual currency or of a mindset, but rather a call for you to receive by faith your Father’s Inheritance and cash your check now leaving the rich life God has plan for you on earth according do Jeremiah 29:11-14.

"...For I know the plans I have for you," declares the lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the lord, "and will bring you back from captivity or will restore your fortunes.”

Right now, we can already start receiving and opening our gifts. Take a deep breath while reading, close your eyes and simply feel your heart and mind pulsing, you are alive, the love of God is inside of you no matter your circumstances; this perfect love is always available and surpass any other human emotion or material richness. You are rich in faith! Let us start this holiday season with this sense of richness, fulfillment and love—independently of material possessions or circumstances.
