A Bouquet of Sacrifices

When the days begin to blur together and the small irritations build up, it is easy to give into frustration.

I fail. Every day. I doubt that my actions matter. I give into my weakness.

I was reading St. Faustina’s Diary and was struck by how she described her daily sacrifices.

St. Faustina writes, “O you small, everyday sacrifices, you are to me like wildflowers which I strew over the feet of my beloved Jesus.”

Oh, how I underestimate the power of love! Something all the saints have in common is their belief in the power of love to transform every action.

With love, each small sacrifice can become a beautiful flower. Our daily sacrifices can be so beautiful to God!

How our lives could be radically transformed if we gathered all our irritations, our daily struggles, into a bouquet and handed them to Jesus!

St. Faustina was grateful for the chance to suffer for God.

Each small sacrifice gave her the chance to suffer along with Jesus. She saw each irritation as a chance to unite herself to God.

How we should thank God for these struggles, this chance to suffer alongside Him who endured so much for us!

Think of giving Jesus a bouquet today.
